Tonico is free to use, and always will be. You own your charts — we just host them. Be a good human: don't post harmful content, don't impersonate others, and don't try to weaponize our exported files against us.
If you buy Pro, it's a one-time payment. No subscriptions, no hidden charges. All sales are final, but reach out if something went wrong.
We can suspend accounts that break the rules, and you can delete yours anytime — all your data goes with it.

By accessing or using Tonico ("the Service"), including the website at tonico.app, the builder at builder.tonico.app, and any published chart viewer pages, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
To create and publish charts, you must create an account using a valid email address via our authentication provider (Supabase Auth). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
You may choose a public username. Usernames must be unique, between 3 and 20 characters, and may only contain letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens. Tonico reserves the right to reclaim or reassign usernames that are inactive, misleading, or violate these terms.
You retain full ownership of any chord charts, arrangements, and content you create on Tonico. By publishing a chart, you grant Tonico a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that chart through the Service (including public viewer pages and search results).
You represent that you have the right to publish any content you upload. Chord charts on Tonico typically consist of chord names, section labels, key signatures, and performance annotations. If you include lyrics or other copyrighted material, you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights or licenses.
Unpublished drafts and private charts (Pro feature) are not publicly accessible and are only visible to you or to anyone you explicitly share a tokenized link with.

Tonico Pro is a one-time purchase that grants you lifetime access to Pro features. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Tonico does not store your credit card information.
"Lifetime access" means for the lifetime of the Service. If Tonico ceases to operate, Pro features will remain available for as long as the Service is online.
Due to the digital nature of the product and the fact that Pro features are delivered immediately upon purchase, all sales are final. Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion—please contact us if you believe there has been an error.
Tonico respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe that content on Tonico infringes your copyright, please see our DMCA Policy for instructions on how to submit a takedown request.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. Upon termination, your published charts will be unpublished and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
You may delete your account at any time. Account deletion is permanent and will remove all your charts, drafts, and associated data from our servers.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Tonico does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or musical correctness of any user-generated chord charts. Charts are created by individual users and reflect their personal transcriptions and arrangements.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tonico and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Tonico in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page and, where possible, notify registered users via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
